Sejak kecil, Sakurai Tomoki terus dihantui mimpi aneh yang selalu membuatnya terbangun dengan air mata. Sugata, senior di sekolahnya, yakin mimpi itu berkaitan dengan sebuah benua baru yang misterius. Rasa penasaran pun membawa Tomoki ke serangkaian kejadian tak terduga. Suatu malam, saat menunggu Sugata dan sahabat masa kecilnya di bawah pohon sakura, sosok malaikat bernama Ikaros tiba-tiba jatuh dari langit.
